LAUNCH SPECIAL FOR A LIMITED TIME 49.99

Your fire starter. Your emergency supplies. One compact platform.

The BSS Ember combines a titanium storage capsule with a removable, threaded ferrocerium rod, giving you the foundation for a personalized survival system. Pack the capsule with tinder or small survival essentials, attach a paracord lanyard, and keep it secured to yourself or your equipment.

The machined titanium body doubles as a substantial handle for the ferro rod. Recessed grooves provide grip, while the threaded cap opens to reveal a storage compartment for the supplies you choose to carry.

BUILD YOUR OWN SURVIVAL SYSTEM

Fill the capsule with fire tinder, fishing hooks and tightly wound line, or other small emergency items that fit inside. Water purification tablets should remain in suitable protective packaging.

For fire preparation, add our Tinder-Quik tabs, available separately on our website, or pack your own cotton balls from home.

Want navigation capability? Our watch band replacement compass, sold separately, friction-fits into the top cap. This optional addition puts a compact compass directly into your setup.

Pair the Ember with a knife, light source, whistle, and tinder to build a compact survival system around your needs.

REMOVABLE AND REPLACEABLE FERRO ROD

The ferro rod screws into the titanium body and can be removed without discarding the capsule. Compatible replacement rods are available separately from Black Scout Survival.
