A piece of Black Scout Survival history.

Pulled directly from the Black Scout vault, this SURVIVE! Knives GSO-4.1 was part of Jack Richland’s personal working collection and was carried and used during the earlier years of Black Scout Survival.

The GSO-4.1 became known as a compact, hard-use fixed blade, and this example features a roughly 4-inch CPM-3V blade paired with textured micarta handle scales. CPM-3V was one of the steels offered on the original GSO-4.1 production runs and was selected for its combination of toughness and performance in demanding fixed-blade applications. 

This particular GSO-4.1 was personally owned, carried and used by Jack Richland throughout the history of Black Scout Survival. It appeared during the era of early BSS survival and fieldcraft content and was also part of Jack's working equipment while consulting and working on television productions.

The wear you see is real. This was never a safe queen or display piece. Every mark and bit of patina came from actual use.

It is paired with a USA-made Sagewood Gear leather sheath, built in the traditional heavy-duty style that complements the GSO perfectly. The sheath itself shows the same honest use and character as the knife.

The Blade has been cleaned up to almost new condition and had an edge placed back on it in a razor sharp fashion. 

Once it leaves the vault, there isn't another one.
